Payment Policy

By placing an order with Customized Jewel, you agree to the following payment terms and conditions.


1. Accepted Payment Methods

  • We accept PayPal Checkout.
  • We also accept major credit and debit cards: VisaMasterCardAmerican ExpressJCBDiscover, and Diners Club.
  • All payments must be authorized and cleared before we process your order. If your payment fails or is flagged for any reason, we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.

2. Payment Authorization & Security

  • All payment transactions are handled through secure, PCI-compliant gateways.
  • We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • We employ fraud-detection tools and reserve the right to verify certain orders or request additional verification (e.g. identity, billing proof).
  • If your payment method is declined or cannot be verified, we may ask you to provide another payment method or cancel the order.

3. Timing of Payment

  • Your payment method is charged at the moment the order is placed (or when the order is accepted).
  • In cases where part of the order is delayed (e.g. backordered items), we may split charges or delay charging for that item—but you will be informed in advance.
  • If an order is canceled (fully or partially) before shipment, we will refund the corresponding amount per our Refund Policy.

4. Currency, Conversions & Foreign Fees

  • All transactions in our U.S. storefront are done in USD.
  • If your payment method uses another currency (e.g. CAD), your bank or card issuer will perform the currency conversion and may apply foreign transaction fees.
  • Exchange rates and any associated fees are set by your bank or card issuer—not by us.

5. Taxes, Duties & Import Fees

  • Buyers in the U.S. may be responsible for applicable state, local, or use taxes, depending on the delivery address.
  • Because we ship from Canada to the U.S., your order may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, tariffs, or clearance fees imposed by U.S. Customs or border authorities. These are not included in our product price or shipping charge and are your responsibility, unless otherwise stated.
  • If a package is refused by customs or returned, you may be responsible for additional shipping or duty costs.

6. Disputes, Chargebacks, & Refunds

  • Please contact us first if you have any payment or billing issues. We are committed to resolving them amicably.
  • If a chargeback is initiated, we reserve the right to provide supporting evidence to your issuing bank (such as proof of shipment, delivery, and communication).
  • In the case of wrongfully filed chargebacks, we may pursue recovery of associated costs or fees.

7. Order Cancellations & Modifications

  • You may request to cancel or modify your order before it ships. If approved, we will adjust the payment or issue a refund, following our Refund Policy.
  • Once shipment occurs, cancellation may not be possible; return procedures will instead apply.

8. Invoices & Billing Statements

  • You will receive an order confirmation by email after placing your order.
  • A final invoice, listing item costs, shipping, taxes, and other fees, will either be included in your shipment or emailed to you.
  • If you require a specialized invoice (e.g. for resale, business use), please contact us before placing your order so we can accommodate your needs.

9. Google Merchant / Checkout Compliance Considerations

To comply with Google Merchant Center policies:

  • We provide a secure checkout (HTTPS) and trusted payment gateways.
  • We display clear, accurate pricing (product + shipping + any mandatory fees) before the checkout step.
  • Our product feed prices match exactly what customers see on our site (no surprise markups).
  • We don’t introduce hidden fees during checkout.
  • We promptly process refunds or cancellations and ensure the changes are reflected in our Merchant Center feed.
  • We maintain accurate shipping, handling, and tax settings that align with our policy and feed settings.
